The Villa is located in a wooded area of the Gooische Laren. On arrival we are immediately impressed by the beautiful locale. The villa borders, on a spacious garden with swimming pool and pool house, on a shared meadow and a forest road, giving an unobstructed view of the greenery at the rear of the estate. The abundance of greenery forms the perfect backdrop for the architecture of the building, which is characterized it’s Gooisché influences: white walls, a thatched roof and beautiful details.
The interior radiates an atmosphere of elegance and luxury through the choice of vibrant colors, rich materials and beautiful details. Each space has been given its own accents, by searching for special combinations of colors and materials within the chosen atmosphere. This is already noticeable upon entering through the royal entrance of the house. Here Herman devised, among other things, a stately, custom-made staircase and ceiling-high cupboard walls, covered with leather, that provide a rich feeling.
We reach the kitchen through large Fritz-Jurgen doors. We have opted for a large kitchen island with a natural stone top and a long cupboard wall for the equipment, in which a beautiful niche has been incorporated. Above the island is a striking stone lamp adorns the shelf. The residents can make an amazing cup of coffee in the specially designed coffee bar, finished in leather with glistening metal highlights. The large dining table is made of petrified wood; a robust material that contrasts beautifully with the slender table legs. Beautiful accessories, such as the pot with greenery and the colorful artwork on the wall, complete the picture. ” Adjacent to the living room we find a comfortably decorated TV room, tastefully decorated with a wonderful luxury couch and an extra large TV screen.
We reach the first floor via the large staircase in the hall. Here we created a master bedroom with a walk-in closet in a chic leather look, complemented by a beautiful wallpaper with turquoise velvet details. Adjacent is a spacious bathroom made, here too everything is thought out in detail. The large bath is positioned in such a way that there is a beautiful view of the outside space. We find the same level of luxury in three spacious children’s rooms.
Arrived downstairs we find the wine cellar with a perfect temperature that is constant for that space, for this Herman designed, among other things, a large cupboard for the many beautiful wines and an atmospheric seat to enjoy it. Another beautiful space in the basement is the wellness. The choice of natural materials has also given this space its own accent. The sauna is completely made to measure in a dark color that matches the room. The shower is also very attractive, thanks to a natural stone wall with beautiful waterfall and indirect lighting. We will then find a large sports room. The back wall with a picture of a boxing ring is striking, which gives you the idea of being part of a boxing match.
